Priority of Emergency Vehicle Dynamic Right-Of-Way Control Method in Networked Environment

This paper proposes a dynamic right-of-way priority control approach for emergency vehicles (PDR-EVs) to improve their efficiency on basic road sections in the city based cooperative vehicle infrastructure system. Specifically, movable physical function area was set front of EVs prohibit connected (CVs) from entering lane or request them change lanes avoid collision. Setting up monitoring at EV’s end affords real-time CV’s headway distribution inner lane. Moreover, is sent when CVs enter buffer area, and traversal search method predicts optimal time rate speed guides ahead merge into target gap. Extensive simulations using SUMO platform revealed that (PDR) reduced average delay by more than 70%, given saturation did not exceed 0.8 hardly increased (not 8%). long suitable low-volume conditions, short one high-volume conditions. The proposed methodology fully employs space resources enhances operating while considering efficiency.
